Kwun Tong Line

Kwun Tong Line started operation in late 1979. Kwun Tong Line was extended through the Eastern Harbour Crossing connecting to Quarry Bay on Hong Kong Island in 1989 and then further extended to North Point in 2001. In August 2002, Kwun Tong Line was diverted to end in Tiu Keng Leng. In October 2016, Kwun Tong Line was extended from Yau Ma Tei to Whampoa. Today, Kwun Tong Line is 18.4 km long between the 2 terminal stations at Whampoa and Tiu Keng Leng with 15 intermediate stations; namely Ho Man Tin, Yau Ma Tei, Mong Kok, Prince Edward, Shek Kip Mei, Kowloon Tong, Lok Fu, Wong Tai Sin, Diamond Hill, Choi Hung, Kowloon Bay, Ngau Tau Kok, Kwun Tong, Lam Tin and Yau Tong. Yau Ma Tei, Mong Kok and Prince Edward are the interchange stations with Tsuen Wan Line. Kowloon Tong is the interchange station with East Rail Line. Ho Man Tin and Diamond Hill are the interchange stations with Tuen Ma Line. Yau Tong and Tiu Keng Leng are the interchange stations with Tseung Kwan O Line.
