Northern Link Project

The proposed Northern Link (NOL) Project comprises:

  1. Kwu Tung Station on the East Rail Line
    Kwu Tung Station is an intermediate station between the Sheung Shui Station and Lok Ma Chau Station of the Lok Ma Chau Spur Line and will connect to the NOL Main Line. Construction of the Kwu Tung Station commenced in 2023 and the station is expected to come into operation in 2027 as scheduled.
  2. NOL Main Line
    NOL Main Line is a railway of about 10.7 kilometres long connecting the Kam Sheung Road Station and the Kwu Tung Station, with three intermediate stations at San Tin, Ngau Tam Mei and Au Tau. Construction of the NOL Main Line commenced in 2025 for commissioning by 2034 or earlier.
  3. NOL Spur Line
    NOL Spur Line is a railway of about 6.0 kilometres long, of which the Hong Kong Section is about 4.9 kilometres long, connecting the San Tin Station of the NOL Main Line, and the railway station at the new Huanggang Port in Shenzhen, with two intermediate stations at Chau Tau and the Loop. The target is to commission the NOL Spur Line together with the NOL Main Line by 2034 or earlier.
