Hong Kong Section of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Western Rail Link (Hung Shui Kiu-Qianhai)
Project Description:
The proposed Hong Kong-Shenzhen Western Rail Link (Hung Shui Kiu-Qianhai) (HSWRL) is a cross-boundary railway of about 18.1 km long (with about 7.3km and 10.8km for the Hong Kong section and Shenzhen section respectively). It is an underground railway line comprising a total of 5 stations, with 3 stations in Hong Kong (located in Hung Shui Kiu, Ha Tsuen and Lau Fau Shan) and 2 stations in Shenzhen (located in Shenzhen Bay Port and Qianhaiwan). The Hong Kong Section of the HSWRL is aimed to be ready for tendering in 2027 for commissioning in 2035.
