Tenders invited for Central Interchange Contract for Central-Wan Chai Bypass Project
The Highways Department today (April
30) invited tenders for the Central Interchange Contract for the
Central-Wan Chai Bypass Project (Contract No: HY/2009/18).
The works mainly comprise:
(i) Construction of a 220m section of tunnel in Central
at the West Portal;
(ii) Construction of approach road to the tunnel;
(iii) Construction of at-grade slip road;
(iv) Construction of bridge deck for the westbound carriageway
of Rumsey Street Flyover Extension;
(v) Construction of the eastbound Slip Road D Flyover;
(vi) Widening of existing Man Yiu Street; and
(vii) Associated road drainage works.
The works are expected to commence in September
2010 and will be completed in January 2016. The Major Works Project Management
Office of the Highways Department has appointed AECOM Asia Company Limited to
design and supervise the construction works. Interested contractors may obtain
the tender forms and other particulars from AECOM Asia Company Limited on 12th
floor, Grand Central Plaza, Tower 2, 138 Sha Tin Rural Committee Road, Sha Tin,
New Territories, Hong Kong.
Tender submissions should be placed in the Government
Secretariat Tender Box located at the lift lobby on the lower ground floor of
the Central Government Offices (East Wing), 20 Lower Albert Road, Hong Kong.
Submission of tenders will close at noon on June 25, 2010 (Friday).
