The Highways Department introduces Hillside Escalator Links and Elevator Systems to provide convenient access for the public and reduce reliance on road-based transport. Depending on site’s topography and local characteristics, various design solutions have been adopted, including conventional escalators, lifts or inclined lifts. 馬鞍⼭富寶花園至西沙路升降機及行人通道系統,方便市民往返西沙路及上坡地區,免卻步行約百級樓梯上落。(於二零二五年啟用) The Lift and Pedestrian Walkway System between Saddle Ridge Garden and Sai Sha Road, Ma On Shan provides a convenient access for the public to travel between Sai Sha Road and the uphill areas, eliminating the need to climb approximately a hundred steps.
