慈幼英文中學致送感謝狀予本署慶祝天橋重開。 Presentation of appreciation from Salesian English School to the Highways Department for the reopening of the footbridge. 柴灣道近慈幼英文中學行人天橋重置工程 Re-provisioning of Footbridge at Chai Wan Road near Salesian English School 位於柴灣道，鄰近慈幼英文中學的行人天橋部分結構，於二零一八年因交通意外嚴重 受損，需即時拆除以保障公眾安全。路政署隨後展開天橋重置工程，並考慮地區持份 者的意見，調整天橋的其中一個出口位置，使其遠離學校大門，以紓緩學生上下課時 間在學校大門擁擠的情況。重置工程於二零一九年九月完成。 A portion of the footbridge near Salesian English School on Chai Wan Road was seriously damaged in a traffic accident in 2018. An emergency removal of the damaged portion was carried out to ensure public safety. The Highways Department subsequently commenced the footbridge re-provisioning works. In response to the feedback from nearby stakeholders’ suggestions, one of the footbridge exits was relocated to a place away from the school entrance to reduce congestion during school peak hours.
