162 路政署四十載風雨兼程，與香港社會共同成長，一直以來推動道路及鐵路網絡的持續擴展及優化，打通城市脈絡， 為社會穩步向前打下重要基礎。路政署將繼續肩負推動本港運輸基建發展的重要使命，與相關政府部門及業界夥 伴攜手合作，按照《香港主要運輸基建發展藍圖》，落實及推動多個策略性的重要項目，進一步提升運輸基建網 絡的容量與效能，推動香港持續發展並深化跨境融合，同時增加市民出行選擇，改善交通狀況及縮短出行時間， 為社會帶來長遠的經濟效益，鞏固香港背靠祖國、聯通世界的獨特優勢。 展望未來，路政署肩負重任，將以專業精神與前瞻視野，持續推動香港基建發展，鞏固並提升香港作為世界級基 建城市的地位。現時北環線、港深西部鐵路（洪水橋至前海）香港段、東九龍智慧綠色集體運輸系統、南港島線 （西段）項目、北都公路及十一號幹線等多個重要運輸基建項目正全速推進，其他帶動發展的項目亦按預期的運 輸和物流需求有序地規劃及推展中。路政署會繼續以技術及政策雙創新的思維及方式推進這些項目，積極引進先進 和創新的建造技術及嶄新的建築物料和機械，加強與內地、本地及海外業界的合作，攜手引領香港工程技術發展邁 向新高峰，力求令工程的推展效率更高及更具成本效益。路政署亦會繼續透過應用創新科技，持續提升現有道路網 絡設施維護工作的效率與質素，同時繼續秉持「以人為本」的精神，推動優化街道景觀及出行環境的地區民生工程， 將香港建構成更宜居高效的城市，邁向可持續發展的新里程。 The Highways Department has grown together with the Hong Kong society in the past 40 years of journey through challenges and laid an important foundation for the steady progress of the society by consistently driving the continuous expansion and enhancement of the road and railway network, opening up the connections of the city. The Highways Department will continue to shoulder the important mission of taking forward transport infrastructure development of Hong Kong by joining hands with fellow government departments and industry partners to implement and press forward a range of strategic key projects according to the Hong Kong Major Transport Infrastructure Development Blueprint, thereby further enhancing the capacity and efficiency of the transport infrastructure network to drive continuous development of Hong Kong and deepen cross-boundary integration, while offering more commuting options to citizens, improving traffic conditions and reducing journey time, bringing about long-term socio-economic benefits and entrenching the unique advantage of having strong support of the motherland and being closely connected to the world. Looking ahead, the Highways Department shouldering a heavy responsibility will drive the ongoing development of Hong Kong’s infrastructure with professionalism and foresight, thereby consolidating and enhancing Hong Kong’s status as a world-class infrastructure city. Major transport infrastructure projects such as the Northern Link, the Hong Kong Section of the Hong Kong–Shenzhen Western Rail (Hung Shui Kiu to Qianhai), the Smart and Green Mass Transit System in East Kowloon, the South Island Line (West) project, the Northern Metropolis Highway and Route 11 are being implemented in full swing, with other development-driving projects being progressively planned and implemented to cater for the forecasted transport and logistics needs. The Highways Department will continue to deliver these projects with a technological and policy dual-innovation mindset and approach, proactively introducing advanced and innovative construction technologies as well as brand-new materials and machinery, and strengthening collaborations with mainland, local and overseas industry partners to steer Hong Kong’s engineering technology development to new heights, achieving greater project efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The Highways Department will continue to strive for enhancing the efficiency and quality of the maintenance work for our existing road network facilities through the ongoing application of innovative technologies, while maintaining a people-oriented spirit in delivering community projects that optimise streetscapes and commuting environments, to achieve the ultimate goal of shaping Hong Kong into an even more efficient and livable city, reaching a new milestone of sustainable development. 望未來 展 Looking Forward
