升級改造的木材 Upcycled tree logs 116 路政署「承思 • 續後:斜坡植林優化計劃」: 回收再造 – 樹木的第二生命 The Highways Department’s“SUCCEED•SUSTAIN SLOPESCAPE: Enhancement Programme of Vegetated Slopes Reuse and Upcycling”– A Second Life of Trees 路政署一直重視對管轄範圍內植物的護養,致力為市民提供安全及舒適的綠化 道路環境。「承思.續後:斜坡植林優化計劃」以長遠及有系統的方式,逐步 更替本港斜坡及公路旁老化或有潛在倒塌風險的樹木,保障公眾安全。樹木被 移除後,會盡量在原址栽種原生或本地化的植物,豐富市區的生態,促進生物 多樣性,為社區塑造可持續發展、生機勃勃的環境。與此同時,回收的老木將 被賦予「第二生命」,木材經加工後將以傢俱、園林及建築材料的形式回歸社 區,延伸人樹共融的理念。 The Highways Department is committed to nurturing vegetation under its care and providing the public with a safe, pleasant, and green roadside environment. Through the “SUCCEED • SUSTAIN SLOPESCAPE: Enhancement Programme”, the Highways Department adopts a forward-looking and systematic approach to gradually replace ageing or potentially hazardous trees along slopes and highways, ensuring public safety. Wherever possible, native species will be planted to their original sites to enrich the area’s local ecology, to enhance vicinity biodiversity, and to create a sustainable and lively environment. Meanwhile, tree logs are given a “second life”. The processed wood will return to the community in the form of furniture, construction materials and wooden chips, extending the spirit of harmony between people and nature. 續生機 綠 Vegetation Maintenance
