Tung Chung Line

The Airport Railway comprises two services. They are Tung Chung Line and Airport Express Line. Tung Chung Line started operation in mid 1998 connecting Hong Kong with Tung Chung on Lantau Island. Tung Chung Line is 31.1 km long between the 2 terminal stations at Hong Kong and Tung Chung with 6 intermediate stations; namely Kowloon, Olympic, Nam Cheong, Lai King, Tsing Yi and Sunny Bay. Hong Kong Station interchanges with Central Station on Tsuen Wan Line and Island Line. Lai King is the interchange station with Tsuen Wan Line. Kowloon and Tsing Yi are the interchange stations with Airport Express Line. Nam Cheong is the interchange station with West Rail Line. Sunny Bay is the interchange station with Disneyland Resort Line. Additional station sites are reserved at Tai Ho Wan and Tung Chung West to be developed in phases to match level of local development.

In 2007, Kwun Tong Line, Tsuen Wan Line, Island Line, Tung Chung Line, Airport Express Line, Tseung Kwan O Line and Disneyland Resort Line carried average daily passengers of about 2,560,000.
