Ma On Shan Line

Ma On Shan Line connects Wu Kai Sha with Tai Wai and was opened in December 2004. It is 11.4 km long consisting of 9 stations at Tai Wai, Che Kung Temple, Sha Tin Wai, City One, Shek Mun, Tai Shui Hang, Heng On, Ma On Shan and Wu Kai Sha. Tai Wai is the interchange station with East Rail Line. Two public transport interchanges at Wu Kai Sha Station and Tai Wai Station are also provided to serve as major transit points for commuters to interchange between road-based transport and the railway.

In 2010, Kwun Tong Line, Tsuen Wan Line, Island Line, Tung Chung Line, Disneyland Resort Line, Tseung Kwan O Line, East Rail Line, West Rail Line, Ma On Shan Line and Airport Express Line carried average daily passengers of about 3,860,000.
