Description :
The project includes :
- Widening of a section of Sai Sha Road about 650 m to dual two-lane between Kam Ying Road and the Junction with Trunk Road T7 at Sha On Street.
- Construction of a roundabout at the junction of Sai Sha Road with Sha On Street.
- Construction of a four-lane carriageway with associated footpaths for future connection to the access road to Whitehead.
- Construction of two footbridges across Sai Sha Road with the provision of lifts.
- Construction of two pedestrian/cyclist subways.
- Modification of the existing junction of Sai Sha Road and Kam Ying Road including provision of a ramp and a staircase adjacent to the eastbound of Sai Sha Road for the completion of the existing subway across Sai Sha Road.
- Reconstruction of the existing footpaths, cycle tracks and village access roads.
- Erection of noise barriers along Sai Sha Road.
- Ancillary works including drainage, slope, landscaping and electrical and mechanical works, construction of embankments, retaining walls and cycle parks.
