This
project involves the construction of a 1.3 km long
dual 2-lane carriageway, two roundabouts and two
pedestrian subways. The Bypass will be connected
to the existing Kam Tin Road at the western and eastern
ends of the Kam Tin town centre. The aim of this
project is to relieve traffic burden on the existing
Kam Tin Road and to provide the needed capacity for
the new roads due to be opened for West Rail.
