Project Description
Eagle's Nest Tunnel is an integral part of Route 8 between Cheung Sha Wan and Sha Tin. The contract consists of the construction of the Eagle's Nest Tunnel, associated portal buildings and administration building, associated roadworks and drainage works, and E&M works for Eagle's Nest Tunnel, Shatin Heights Tunnel and Road T3.
The scope of the works of the contract includes the following major items
construction of 0.5km long at-grade tunnel approach within Butterfly Valley;
construction of 2.1km long Eagle's Nest Tunnel;
construction of roadwoks and finishing works at the Toll Plaza;
ancillary works including installation of E&M works, drainage works, geotechnical works and landscape works.
